Hello, my name is Dave Horler.

I am a Technical Artist working in a dynamic and challenging role in video games. I am lucky enough to be working with studios all over the world. Currently, I am focused on developing my technical skills to create the best games that I can!


Paradox Development Studio

(2017 - present)

Stockholm, Sweden

I currently work as an Outsourcing Artist. My job is to control the quality of the art assets that are outsourced to third-party studios and freelance artists, and then integrate those assets across the Paradox range of titles, such as Hearts of Iron IV and Imperator: Rome.

HexWar Games Ltd

(2015 - 2017)

Elgin, Scotland

I started working at HexWar Games Ltd in Scotland in 2015. As the only 3D Artist, I worked across the whole library of games on almost every aspect.

I was also responsible for working with external studios, and ensuring that outsourced content is consistent with the company's standards.

Paradox South

(2013 - 2014)

Skovde, Sweden

I completed a year-long 3D Artist internship with Paradox Interactive in Sweden. I created assets for the historical strategy games, Crusader Kings 2 and Europa Universalis 4.

I studied at the University of Kent until 2015, where I was awarded a first‑class degree in Digital Arts BA (Hons).
